Dental Veneers

What are dental veneers?

Veneers are thin shells that are bonded onto the front surface of teeth to enhance their appearance. They are typically made of medical-grade ceramic and are extremely durable.

Veneers can be used to correct various aesthetic dental issues, such as discoloration, chips, cracks, or gaps. The veneer procedure involves removing a small amount of tooth enamel to create space for the veneer, which is then designed to match the natural teeth in shape, size, and color. Veneers can be applied to one or multiple teeth, depending on the patient's needs.

The process of getting veneers

After your complimentary cosmetic dentistry consultation, Dr. Singh will use digital dental imaging technology to design your new smile. She is excellent at listening to every patient’s priorities and concerns. Together, you will decide what is appropriate in order to give you the look you want and deserve.

Once you agree on the final result, Dr. Singh will remove a small amount of enamel from the teeth that will be covered by veneers (about the thickness of a contact lens). This will ensure the veneers lie flat and don’t look too bulky. She will then take impressions of your prepared teeth and send these to a dental lab. While you wait for your final veneers, you’ll be fitted with temporary ones.

In about two weeks, you’ll return to our dental office so Dr. Singh can remove your temporaries and attach your permanent veneers. She will check the fit and your bite one last time before getting your final approval. At this point, your new smile is ready to be shown off!
